2.1 Teaching Guidance

This lesson is for those facilitating or planning a Cross-Cultural Catalyst experience.

You do not need to use every teaching in this folder.

CCC works best when teaching creates clarity and momentum for engagement, not information overload.

Recommended Default

If you are unsure where to start, use:

1.1 Biblical Basis of Missions

For most CCC experiences, this teaching alone provides sufficient biblical grounding to move forward.

When to Add Another Teaching

Consider adding one additional teaching only if it clearly serves your aim:

  • Add 1.2 God’s Heart for the Foreigner
    When your CCC experience includes local engagement with immigrants or refugees.
  • Add 1.3 The State of the World
    When participants need help connecting Scripture to present-day global realities.
  • Add 1.4 Worldview & the Gospel (The 3D Gospel)
    When participants will be reflecting on cross-cultural experiences or how the gospel is heard across cultures.

How Many Teachings to Use

  • Most CCC experiences: one teaching
  • Extended or multi-day experiences: two teachings Avoid using all teachings in a single experience.

A Simple Rule of Thumb

If teaching begins to delay engagement, it has done enough.

Teaching in CCC is meant to prepare the heart, not replace experience.
